Dr. Rachel Gilmore, MD
Dr. Rachel Gilmore is a third-generation dermatologist who was born and raised in Texas and now practices in New York City. She attended Yale University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry while conducting research in herpes-virus therapeutics and completing pharmaceutical research internships in New York. She subsequently performed virology research in Nobel laureate Charlie Rice’s laboratory at Rockefeller University before earning her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Gilmore completed a general-surgery internship at the University of California, Irvine, where she gained experience in the Melanoma Center, followed by dermatology residency at New York Medical College, serving as surgical dermatology chief in her final year. Her training included complex medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, cosmetics, pediatric dermatology, and skin of color. Her clinical expertise includes acne, alopecia, eczema, psoriasis, warts, keloids, earlobe repair, excision of benign and malignant lesions, rare skin diseases, and cosmetic procedures. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and emphasizes patient-centered treatment planning.
