Dr. Dina Began is board certified in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine and brings experience spanning academic medicine, medical dermatology, and cosmetic practice. Raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, she entered an accelerated BS/MD program and graduated cum laude in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before earning her medical degree from Albany Medical College. She completed Internal Medicine residency training at Albany Medical College and Montefiore Medical Center, followed by dermatology training at Indiana University School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Began has held clinical faculty appointments at NYU School of Medicine, Weill Cornell Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Her honors include the Irwin Lubowe Fellowship, an NYU dermatology faculty award, and special recognition from Albert Einstein for mentorship. A Castle Connolly Top Doctor, she has particular interests in acne, cosmetic dermatology and procedures, eczema, hair loss, psoriasis, rosacea, and skin-cancer screening, prevention, and treatment.
