Maria Zuniga, PA
Maria Zuniga, MSPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. A native New Yorker, she earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy University in the Bronx. Maria began working in dermatology in 2013 as a medical assistant alongside leading dermatologists in academic and private-practice settings, assisting with medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care. That experience motivated her to advance her training as a Physician Assistant. Having personally experienced dermatologic challenges, Maria understands the physical and emotional impact skin conditions can have and approaches care collaboratively and compassionately. She focuses on helping patients feel heard and supported while creating personalized treatment plans suited to their needs and lifestyles. A bilingual child of immigrants, Maria is fluent in Spanish and is committed to culturally sensitive care across backgrounds and skin types. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her family.
