
David H. Lau, MD, PhD, FHRS, FACC, is a cardiologist and clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at Chinatown Cardiology. He specializes in disorders of the heart’s electrical system, including abnormal heart rhythms, palpitations, fainting, and conditions that may require treatment with pacemakers, defibrillators, or long-term rhythm monitoring. Dr. Lau earned both his medical degree and a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the NYU School of Medicine. He completed Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology training at Columbia University–Presbyterian Medical Center. His practice combines general cardiology with advanced rhythm management, allowing him to evaluate both the broader cardiovascular picture and the specific electrical problems that may be causing symptoms. Dr. Lau is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, and Echocardiography and has published extensively in cardiac electrophysiology.
