Dr. So Hyun Chung received her Doctor of Optometry from the SUNY College of Optometry after earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from SUNY Binghamton. She is an experienced optometrist with 19 years in practice and focuses on comprehensive eye care, including comprehensive examinations, emergency eye care, cataract-surgery co-management, and presbyopia treatment. Her approach is attentive and patient-centered, with a strong emphasis on addressing each patient’s individual eye-care needs. Dr. Chung chose optometry because it allowed her to combine an interest in science with a desire to serve others, and she especially values building long-term relationships with patients and families in the community while helping them preserve healthy vision. She speaks English and Korean and welcomes new patients for in-person care.
