Ellen C. Putter, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who has cared for New York City families at Pediatric Associates of NYC since 1995. She provides comprehensive care from the newborn period through adolescence, including preventive visits, immunizations, treatment of acute illnesses, developmental guidance, and management of chronic medical conditions. Dr. Putter places particular emphasis on supporting parents through the practical questions that arise as children grow. She counsels families on feeding, sleep, behavior, development, and other everyday concerns and works closely with specialists when a child has more complex medical needs. She values the long relationships that pediatrics makes possible and enjoys getting to know both children and their families over time. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and completed her Pediatrics residency at NYU Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Putter is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and serves as Co-Medical Director of Pediatric Associates of NYC.
