Laurel Callahan is a board-certified Physician Assistant licensed in New York and specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University, she worked in medical sales, an experience that ultimately led her toward becoming a Physician Assistant. She then worked in dermatology for two years before PA school, which strengthened her interest in the specialty. Laurel graduated from Frostburg State University’s Physician Assistant program and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. At The Dermatology Specialists, she is completing the TDS fellowship program under the guidance and mentorship of the practice’s physicians. A Pittsburgh native who lived in Washington, D.C. for eight years before moving to New York City, Laurel is passionate about patient education and individualized care and wants patients to leave visits feeling reassured and confident in their skin. Outside work, she enjoys Brooklyn restaurants and breweries with her husband and two black Labradors and follows Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football.
