Dr. Peter Saitta is a highly regarded board-certified dermatologist at the Skin Institute of New York (SINY Dermatology), recognized nationally and internationally for his expertise in acne, hair loss, contact dermatitis, and complex medical dermatology. He treats both adult and pediatric patients, combining advanced clinical research experience with compassionate, patient-centered care. His special interests include acne, hair loss, skin cancer screening and treatment, and rashes affecting the hands, face, and scalp. Dr. Saitta received his Bachelor of Arts from New York University and earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his dermatology residency in affiliation with Michigan State University, serving as chief resident and receiving national awards for leadership and academic excellence. During his training, Dr. Saitta worked under a world-recognized expert in acne and served as clinical research director for several acne treatment studies, gaining extensive experience with emerging therapies and advanced treatment technologies. He has authored numerous publications and is recognized as a leader in contact dermatitis, including being featured in the Yearbook of Dermatology.
