Dr. Michele Burgess, MD
Dr. Michele Burgess’s interest in dermatology grew out of her own experience struggling with acne as a teenager and the frustration of trying products and advice that did not work. As a board-certified dermatologist, she focuses on helping patients understand the individual factors that affect their skin, including genetics, hormones, and the use of inappropriate products. She treats patients of all ages and provides a wide range of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care, including cosmetic procedures, skin-cancer screenings, and wart treatment. Dr. Burgess grew up in Canada and has family roots in New York. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University and completed dermatology residency training at Henry Ford Health System. Before joining The Dermatology Specialists, she ran Loop Dermatology and Acne Care Center for more than five years, building a practice centered on personalized, patient-oriented treatment plans in an intimate clinical setting.
