
Tak W. Kwan, MD, FAHA, FACC, FACP, FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and President of Chinatown Cardiology. He has spent decades caring for patients with coronary artery disease, vascular disease, and other complex cardiovascular conditions and has been a longstanding leader in expanding access to cardiovascular care within New York’s Chinese and Asian communities. Dr. Kwan earned his medical degree and completed residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. His clinical expertise includes transradial cardiac catheterization, complex coronary intervention, structural-heart procedures, and peripheral vascular intervention. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kwan has held leadership and teaching roles within major New York health systems and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine/Cardiology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He has also been deeply involved in the Chinese-American medical community and received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his charitable and community service.
