Dr. Gibran Shaikh is originally from Houston and now considers New York City home. He attended New York University School of Medicine and completed residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. At The Dermatology Specialists, he treats a broad range of general and complex skin conditions and also offers contemporary laser and aesthetic treatments. His particular clinical interests include hair loss, skin of color, skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, and acne. Dr. Shaikh places strong value on individualized, holistic care and on the trust involved in the dermatologist-patient relationship, aiming to care for patients with the same attention he would give a family member. Outside work, he enjoys gallery openings, museums, travel, skiing, restaurants, and reading.
