Karyl Soto is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at Westside Family Medicine. He provides comprehensive adult primary care with particular interests in prevention, chronic-disease management, HIV prevention and treatment, sexual health, and LGBTQ+ health. Karyl’s approach is collaborative and evidence based. He works with patients to understand their health goals, explain treatment options clearly, and create care plans that are realistic for their lives. He places particular emphasis on preventive care and on helping patients feel comfortable discussing concerns that may be personal, sensitive, or difficult to raise in a medical setting. In addition to clinical practice, Karyl serves as an Adjunct Professor at Mercy University, where he teaches and mentors future nurses. His work in both medicine and education reflects a strong commitment to accessible, culturally competent care and to empowering patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their health.
