Dr. Lisa M. Gruson is a board-certified dermatologist at the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®) and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the New York University School of Medicine. She provides comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatologic care, including advanced laser procedures, to adult patients across multiple SINY® locations in New York City and Brooklyn. Her clinical interests include skin allergies, contact dermatitis, and the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of dermatologic conditions. Dr. Gruson completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, where she graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors. She went on to earn her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors and receiving the Marion B. Sulzberger Dermatology Award. She completed her dermatology residency at New York University Medical Center, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident. During her training, Dr. Gruson also received the Morris Leider Award for excellence in dermatology, recognizing her outstanding clinical and academic performance. Dr. Gruson is known for her thorough, patient-focused approach and clear communication style. She takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options, answer questions, and develop personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. Her combination of academic expertise, clinical experience, and attentive care helps patients feel informed and confident throughout their treatment.
