Dr. Pierce Deng graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with Highest Distinction, summa cum laude, and earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. During medical school, he received the Dean’s Research Scholarship and completed a clinical research fellowship at USC focused on inflammatory skin disease and clinical trials involving newer therapies for psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. He completed an internal medicine internship in Los Angeles during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, caring for acutely ill hospitalized patients, and then completed dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota with training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Deng emphasizes personalized care, patient education, and shared decision-making, helping patients understand their options for concerns ranging from acne and eczema to skin cancer and aesthetic goals. Outside medicine, he enjoys music, guitar, outdoor activities, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and learning Spanish.
