Dr. George Romar is a dermatologist with a particular interest in disorders of the skin and hair. A Houston-area native, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Rice University before attending Harvard Medical School, where he conducted extensive laboratory research on severe allergic drug eruptions and graduated magna cum laude with his medical degree. He completed an internal medicine internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. At The Dermatology Specialists, Dr. Romar cares for patients in Harlem and the Bronx and also serves as a regional medical director. His clinical practice centers on adult general dermatology, with a special interest in inflammatory conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis. Outside medicine, he enjoys live theater, fitness, exploring restaurants, and working on innovative projects.
